Editing the Homepage

The homepage is both editorially and programmatically built. For example, the four most recent News items are automatically shown, but the introduction text is manually edited. The Featured Productions section is a hybrid of editorially chosen and programatically chosen content.

On Now

Clicking "Add" allows an editor to search for an individual Work to display on the homepage in the On Now sections. If no Work is chosen, the On Now section is not displayed on the homepage.

Featured Productions

Clicking "Add" allows an editor to search for an individual Work to display on the homepage. From this pool of Work, 8 projects are chosen at random when a visitor loads the homepage.

Primary Introduction

The Introduction Textarea is the first, larger, block of text on the homepage. This text is also used to populate the meta description for the homepage, as seen in Google Search Results pages.

The Button text is displayed inside the pill-button below the text

The Button URL is the HTML anchor reference to where that button should go. This is very flexible, as you may want to send a visitor to a URL outside of the Ping Chong and Company website in the future.

Secondary Introduction

Very similar to the Primary Introduction, but seen in smaller text. Not used to populate any meta data.
